NRFI Picks Today: Watch The Dodgers

It’s Monday, June 2, in MLB, and I’ve got a pair of YRFI bets lined up. In Game 1, I’m banking on shaky pitching to lead to early runs. Then, in the nightcap, I’m backing the Dodgers' potent offense to strike quickly against a vulnerable arm making his season debut.

YRFI Pick Today: Rockies vs Marlins (-115 at Sportsbook)

Rockies vs Marlins Odds – 6:40 p.m. ET

This is an easy YRFI pick for me. The odds are there at -115, and the Rockies are tied as baseball's most reliable YRFI team with a 34-25 record, per our NRFI betting trends page.

The Rockies are comically bad right now at 9-50, and their starting pitcher, German Marquez, owns a 5-6 YRFI record, while the Marlins' counterpart, Max Meyer, owns a 4-7 YRFI record. Given the odds and the circumstances facing both teams lately, this seems like a smart pick.

YRFI Pick Today: Mets vs Dodgers (-120 at Sportsbook)

Mets vs Dodgers Odds – Game Time: 10:10 p.m. ET

For the evening game between the Dodgers and Mets, I'm going with yet another YRFI pick. The reason I'm going with this is because Paul Blackburn makes his season debut for the Mets, and in a limited sample size, the Dodgers have crushed him. Some hitters, like Enrique Hernandez, are just 1-for-3, but Shohei Ohtani is 4-for-9 with a double, a home run, and three walks.

Given how hot Ohtani is lately, that split on its own may be enough to push me toward the YRFI at -120. Who knows how Blackburn will pitch in his first outing, and the Dodgers—especially Ohtani—have been a run factory lately. To me, this is the smarter angle, and it winds up with me picking two YRFI picks on this fine Monday.
