NFL Playoff Odds Best Bets

We smacked Atlanta to miss the playoffs and Pittsburgh to make the playoffs last year at plus money so don't miss out on my best bets.

Arizona Cardinals to Make the Playoffs +138

Another year of seasoning for Jonathan Gannon's exotic defense will work wonders for the Cardinals. The former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator runs one of the NFL's most complex defensive schemes, and Arizona rounded into form in the second half of last year. With the additions of Josh Sweat, Dalvin Tomlinson and rookie Walter Nolen, as well as the return of former All-Pro Calais Campbell, all of a sudden the Cardinals have one of the most underrated defensive lines in the league.

Kyler Murray is an electric playmaker at the quarterback position, running back James Conner is a stud who consistently moves the change, and Marvin Harrison Jr. can only get better.

I love betting on the Cardinals to make the playoffs at plus money in a wide open NFC West.

New England Patriots to Miss Playoffs -188

If we pencil in behemoths like the Bills, Ravens, Chiefs and Bengals into the AFC Playoffs, there's no space left for teams like the New England Patriots. Somebody has to win the AFC South, leaving just two more wild card spots for teams like the Broncos, Chargers, Steelers and the AFC South runner up to contender for.

While the Patriots improved their talent level immensely this off-season, 2025 seems like a year too soon for the ascension of Drake Maye and company. After all, the Patriots have finished just 4-13 in back-to-back years. New head coach Mike Vrabel will surely turn the Patriots fortunes around, and his far more experience coaching staff will be a huge boom for Maye. But, the Pats still have a ton of holes to fill.

Despite the addition of Milton Williams, New England's front seven remains one of the worst in football. Moreover, the Patriots offensive line is full of oft-injured veterans and rookie Will Campbell. Plus, star receiver Stefon Diggs is coming off an ACL injury, and behind him the Pats will trot out some combination of Demario Douglas and rookie Kyle Williams. At the end of the day, if you're betting on New England to make the playoffs, you'll need an awful lot to go their way this season, in a loaded AFC. I'm betting the opposite happens and the Pats win six-to-eight games, but fail to make the playoffs.

How to Bet on NFL Playoff Odds

Betting on NFL playoff odds can be extremely profitable, provided you stay up to date on all the latest transactions, injuries, and coaching changes in the football world. These odds will fluctuate throughout the season, based on streaks and player personnel losses. The ideal strategy is to hunt value in the preseason NFL Playoff odds, and then snipe on favorable lines in the first few weeks of the season. Perhaps, like last year when the Cincinnati Bengals suffered a terrible start to the season, a playoff contender stumbles early. You can either bet on them to make a triumphant recovery or profit on their demise.

Sportsbooks will have NFL Playoff Odds listed like so:

  • Kansas City Chiefs -500
  • Philadelphia Eagles -290
  • Indianapolis Colts +138

Teams will be found at both (-) and (+) odds to make the playoffs. These designate your payout for each specific bet. For instance, if you were to bet on the Kansas City Chiefs you'd have to wager $500 to win $100. On the flip side, a $100 wager on the Indianapolis Colts would pay out $238.
