Belmont Stakes Odds: Sovereignty Rested & Favored

The 2025 Belmont Stake doesn't come with Triple Crown drama, but there's still plenty on the line with a clear favorite emerging. Kentucky Derby victor Sovereignty returns to the spotlight, after skipping Preakness to rest, with oddsmakers pinning him the +200 betting favorite.

Sovereignty Favored to win belmont stakes

Derby winner Sovereignty skipped the Preakness to rest up and it could pay off big time in the Belmont Stakes on June 7th. With five weeks between races, he'll be the freshest horse and entering as the +160 favorite after a strong workout at Saratoga.

Preakness Stakes champion Journalism is the second choice at +220, but the Thoroughbred emptied his tank in Baltimore and three weeks is a short time to recover. There's no Triple Crown on the line this time around, but with Sovereignty well-rested, another major title is calling his name.
